Position Purpose: The Staff Educator will educate staff on new and ongoing systems, training, strategies, techniques, interventions, and best practices for lasting recovery.
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required/Master’s degree preferred
- Three years of experience in behavioral health services
- Exceptional oral and written presentation skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent Microsoft PowerPoint skills
- Proficient computer and technology skills
- Knowledge of applicable State and Federal rules and regulations
- Self-starter with ability to work independently
- Ability to work within a team
- Belief in the mission, vision and values of Rosecrance
Essential Responsibilities:
- Work scheduled hours and any additional hours deemed necessary by leadership. Some variation in scheduled hours as well as travel between sites and regions may be required to meet company needs
- Coordinate and schedule centralized trainings throughout the agency
- Facilitate core/centralized training topics and sessions for all disciplines
- Create clear, relevant objectives and learning goals for all projects
- Use of a variety of appropriate techniques for adult learning styles
- Use of appropriate class materials and handouts
- Ability to engage adult learners
- Reconciliation and administrative utilization of the LMS
- Use of instructional design software(s) to develop training content
- Knowledge of curriculum structure and development
- Design and develop training sessions/training content for a variety of delivery methods: electronic, in-person, virtual, blended, video based, etc.
- Development of supplemental training manuals, job aids, resources & materials, as well as associated competencies to support all disciplines and use of the electronic health record
- Create, coordinate and implement innovative and interesting training and education opportunities to enhance the competencies and skills of all disciplines.
- Research, review and recommend appropriate training topics, training deliver methods and training approaches based on industry standards and best practices
- Active participation in committees as assigned
- Work closely with operations and other administrative departments to coordinate and implement trainings where necessary
- Management of student experiences as well as the intern application and placement process where applicable
- Demonstrates strong customer service skills that incorporate the 5 tenets of the Rosecrance Way into daily practices and interactions with all stakeholders.
- Exhibits actions and makes decisions that align with the Rosecrance Code of Conduct and within the framework of the law
- Serve as a role model to others and demonstrate excellent company stewardship.
- Serve as a member of the team, and participate in all team meetings, duties and activities as assigned.
Schedule: 8-hour shifts (hybrid schedule available after training period)
- Shift: 8:30am - 5:00pm
- Monday through Friday
Work Location: Rosecrance Rockford East - Rockford, IL (must be located within commutable distance of Rockford office)
