We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Finance Master Data Analyst to join our finance team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of financial master data across various systems and platforms. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and divisions to identify and resolve data quality issues, implement data governance policies, and support financial reporting and analysis activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of finance processes, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the maintenance and corrections to financial master data, including chart of accounts, cost centers, profit centers, product hierarchy, derivation rules and other relevant data elements.
- Be a liaison between the group reporting team and our local teams, enforcing the usage of data standards and guidelines.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular audits, reconciliations, and data validation checks.
- Collaborate with finance, IT, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve data quality issues, including data duplication, inconsistencies, and inaccuracies.
- Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to maintain data standards and compliance.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of financial systems, ensuring data integration and alignment with master data standards.
- Provide training and guidance to finance and other teams on master data processes, policies, and best practices.
- Assist in the development and generation of financial reports, analysis, and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Support merge, acquisitions, and divestiture to ensure master data is setup correctly and data load is preformed accordingly.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to financial master data management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- 2-5 years proven experience as a financial analyst, data analyst, or similar role, preferably with a focus on master data management.
- Strong understanding of finance processes, including chart of accounts, cost centers, profit centers, and financial reporting strongly preferred.
- Proficient in using financial systems and tools, such as SAP/Oracle systems, data management software, and reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve data quality issues.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to financial data management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
