Roswell Park Care Network / RPCI PC, Oncology
The Director of Business Operations and Technology is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the business operations and technology infrastructure of RPCI Oncology, PC. This includes oversight of Billing, Accounting, Prior Authorization, IT, Project and Process Management functions. The Director will ensure seamless integration and alignment of technology with business objectives, enhancing operational efficiency, revenue cycle management, and driving strategic initiatives.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, information technology, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in business operations management and/or technology, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Proven ability to assess and improve business operations processes, manage large-scale business and technological projects, and develop and implement strategic plans.
- Current certifications related to business operations management and technology are preferred.
Requirements
- Accountable for the daily operations of the IT, Billing, Accounting, and Prior Authorization Process/Process Management functions.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for these teams, ensuring seamless integration and alignment of technology with business objectives.
- Direct the billing, accounting, and prior authorization processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, efficiency, and financial success.
- Develop and implement departmental goals, objectives, policies, and procedures to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of the network's technology infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security, and scalability.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and systems to enhance business operations and collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to identify and address technology needs and opportunities.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve operational, financial, and technological performance.
- Provide project management oversight to ensure effective planning and implementation of high-impact projects.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance productivity across all business functions.
- Collaborate with the COO and other senior leaders to develop and execute strategic plans that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis and operational trends.
- Contribute to the development of the annual budget and manage departmental budgets effectively.
- Recruit, train, and mentor team members, fostering professional growth and development.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure data security.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to business operations and technology.
