Under supervision and direction of the Cloud Supervisor, this position will be responsible for optimization, documentation, maintenance, and performance of the State’s Enterprise Cloud environments (Azure/M365 and/or AWS, etc.) used for extending our on-premise capabilities to these new environments.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am-5pm.

 

Job duties

Candidate will provide technical support at a senior level for our Azure and AWS cloud environments. Candidate will work closely with customers to determine the best course of action for their project(s).

Requirements/Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in computer science AND three years of related technical and business experience. Two years of related technician and business experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. OR Post high school coursework in computer science AND four years of related technical and business experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in IT related field. Experience in Microsoft Azure or AWS administration and management. Excellent communication and organization skills. Experience developing and creating implementation plans. Experience with Microsoft PowerShell. Experience working in Agile teams.

 

Other: Regular and reliable attendance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Extensive knowledge of information technology theory, principles, and practices
• Advanced knowledge of computer hardware and software
• General knowledge of local and wide area network systems
• Knowledge of client/server network protocols and Internet/Intranet applications
• Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
• Knowledge of Microsoft cloud infrastructure
• Knowledge of Azure and/or AWS pertaining to virtual networks, firewall, M365, Power Platform, Azure AD, Dynamics, AWS products and solutions.
• Skill in delivering responsive, quality customer service
• Ability to write clear and concise documentation of systems and procedures
• Ability to accurately estimate time and cost requirements in project development and implementation
• Ability to read, understand, and apply information from technical manuals
• Ability to plan, organize, and meet schedules and timelines for assigned work
