Summary :  

This role is responsible for actively supporting and contributing to the continuous improvement of methods and procedures in the battery electrode manufacturing process, ensuring alignment with company specifications and quality standards. As a critical component of the battery, the electrode plays a vital role in reliability and quality. This position will evaluate and implement enhanced techniques to maintain consistency, reliability, and standardization across operations in accordance with corporate systems. Additionally, the role supports various quality assurance activities and tools, including the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gage R&R), calibration systems, and both corrective and preventive actions.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop, document, and verify objective Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure reliable and consistent inspection of electrode components
  • Analyze production data and on-site processes to identify root causes of electrode nonconformance and lead the implementation of corrective actions in collaboration with relevant teams
  • Conduct thorough analysis of nonconforming electrode samples, report findings to local leadership and Headquarters (HQ), and implement measures to prevent recurrence
  • Lead investigations into process deviations to improve stability and capability in electrode manufacturing
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments, including Production and Procurement, to address and resolve electrode quality concerns
  • Ensure a strong understanding and application of quality standards, procedures, and best practices across the production team
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure all production activities adhere to defined quality standards
  • Maintain and ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory and testing equipment used in electrode quality inspections
  • Maintain regular communication with the quality department in South Korea to share and implement verified corrective actions from headquarters
  • Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods to monitor the electrode manufacturing process, identify potential quality risks, and implement preventive measures
  • Perform root cause analyses on electrode quality issues using structured analytical techniques and provide actionable recommendations
  • Segregate nonconforming electrodes and ensure they are managed in accordance with established quality policies
  • Conduct surveillance audits of the electrode production process to verify compliance with internal and external quality standards
  • Approve Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation and manage changes related to the 4Ms (Man, Machine, Material, Method) in electrode production
  • Ensure a safe and efficient working environment, particularly in areas related to electrode inspection and quality control
  • Foster a work culture focused on quality, collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement, especially within the electrode quality team
  • Maintain cleanliness at the worksite in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
    - 5S : Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
    - 3R : Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, quality or related field required
  • Experience in hi-volume production, Control Plans,
