Foundries and Process Integration Team Leader

About the role
Alice & Bob is developing the first universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer to solve the world’s hardest problems. The quantum computer we envision building is based on a new kind of superconducting qubit: the Schrödinger cat qubit. In comparison to other superconducting platforms, cat qubits have the astonishing ability to implement quantum error correction autonomously! We are at the forefront of the quantum race, competing with tech giants such as Google or IBM, and we are growing fast after securing €100 million of funding in 2025 to develop our unique technology. Currently 100+ and counting, between physicists, PhD students, engineers and experienced business professionals, we are united to reach our ambitious goal. Are you a quantum pioneer? Join us on a mission to reshape the future!
Alice&Bob is developing a quantum computer based on cat qubits. While initially running nanofabrication processes in academic cleanrooms, Alice&Bob is stepping up by building its own prototyping cleanroom in Ile de France (construction started, start of operation beginning 2026). This facility will allow to: speed up the design iteration cycle, by reducing the leadtime of chip fabrication and improve the capability of Alice&Bob nanofabrication processes (improving performance and mastering 3D integration)
As part of the Quantum Hardware department, the “Foundries and process integration” team will play a pivotal role on 2 main axis:- supporting the work performed in Alice&Bob cleanroom by “Nanofabrication Front End” and “Nanofabrication Back end” teams, by coordinating and operating the data analysis, developing modelling of the performance of the processes and leading failure analysis, when transversal to the teams- driving the collaboration initiated with foundries, for scaled chips supply
As the Leader of the Foundries and process integration team, you will play a pivotal role in bringing into reality the QPU designs imagined by the company. Your leadership and expertise will directly contribute to our culture of technical excellence and innovation, shaping the future of quantum computing. For this, we are seeking an experienced engineer with a deep background in semiconductor or superconductor process integration to guide and inspire a talented team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support internal nanofabrication process ramp-up in quality: plan and review with the team the regular data analysis (test structures, tests coupons…)
- impulse and support the projects for the “industrialization” of our manufacturing process:
- Documentation of process of reference (POR) and process log files
- Manufacturing Execution System (MES) deployment and maintenance
- Coordination of failure analysis process
- Elaboration of Design rules manual
- Process integration: animate with “Front End” and “Back End” teams the roadmap of the chip fabrication process (including the capabilities of external foundries).
- External foundries collaboration: support the team in the negotiation and project management of foundry collaboration
- Elaborate and manage the “foundry collaboration” budget
- Ensure a good alignment between foundries projects and Alice&Bob strategy, thanks to close collaboration with other technical teams (Nanofabrication Front-End and Backend, Chip Design, and Technical Operations…)
- Technological survey: Stay constantly up-to-date about the innovations in the field and build relationship in the ecosystem of foundries and nanofab technology suppliers
- Team Leadership & Supervision: Manage the team of engineers, fostering a collaborative environment that drives technical excellence. Drive with HR the hiring process and onboarding process. Provide mentorship and guidance, promoting professional growth and skill development within the team.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing improvements in the team (both at a technical and organizational level).
REQUIREMENTS:
- A Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field (PhD is a plus), with a focus on semiconductor or superconductor nanofabrication.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in Process Integration or similar
- Strong background in nanofabrication
- Experience in cleanroom
- Experience in management
- In-depth knowledge of nanofabrication processes
- In-depth knowledge of industrialization toolbox (SPC, FMEA…)
- Leadership & Collaboration:Management experience with the ability to inspire, guide, and develop high-performing technical teams.
- English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational skills (
