Job Summary

The Data Steward role will work with the firm’s Contact Relationship Management (CRM) team in support of an initiative to revise the firm’s email distribution lists. The Data Steward will also assist with confirming the accuracy of the firm’s contact records, update   contacts as needed through independent research, work to identify and reconcile duplicate records, and standardize contact data in the CRM system.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with coordinating email distribution list to individual lawyers to review in excel. Track lawyer edits in excel, entering edits into CRM system and researching further as needed.
  • Support monitoring of project status through tracking of lawyer progress.   
  • Ensure the overall quality of data by performing daily data quality control procedures, including checking and merging duplicate contacts, standardizing data and ensuring that the necessary data fields are populated according to firm data standards.
  • Assist with updating incorrect email addresses (bounce backs) by researching LinkedIn; update contact information as appropriate; and review and update contacts in the CRM system.
  • Monitor Data Change Management (DCM) tickets related to firm alumni and client contacts.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
  • Skilled in thorough Internet research.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple responsibilities and tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed to complete necessary and time sensitive tasks.

Education

This position does not require a Bachelor’s degree.

Experience

  • Experience working with CRM systems and technology a plus.
  • Legal industry experience and knowledge are desirable but not required.
