Promail Delivery/Warehouse Manager

Job Summary:

The Providence Center - Promail Delivery/Warhouse Manager will coordinate, pick up, and deliver all materials as needed on daily basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Deliver products to the appropriate delivery point. Pick up products.

Pick up and deliver all materials as requested by customers, while using safety precautions.

Check loading documents

Plan the shortest delivery route. Follow all driving rules and regulations

Communicate with Staff/Co-workers/ Customers

Follow all procedures for non-delivery of products regarding customer instructions.

Report vehicle maintenance needs and make appropriate appointments for service.

Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds or standing and/or walking.

Pack/wrap/box materials as needed for shipping.

Flexible work availability due to last minute delivery/pick-ups.

Deliver all daily deliveries by end of shift.

Warehouse duties of receiving goods and input into computer system.

Verifying counts upon entrance and exit of goods.

Use of manual, electric pallet jack.

Use of electric stacker to load and unload trucks.

Operate mail equipment and participate in assembly on occasion.

Maintain a neat and organized warehouse/loading dock area.

Ship via UPS, Fed Ex, Common carrier to receive best rates and efficient service.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED.

Valid License

Clean driving record.

Trustworthy and reliable.

Able to gain a thorough knowledge of city and suburban streets.

Good communication skills and some mathematical ability.

Communicate verbally and in writing between suppliers/customers, relevant staff, and interpret and respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person, and to verbal or written instructions.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and supervisors.

Perform duties in and efficient, professional and courteous manner.

Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health & safety procedures.

Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role.

Working Conditions & Physical Effort:

Moderate physical activity most of the time.

Occasionally heavier physical activity is required when lifting objects up to 50 pounds.

The ability to safely operate an electric pallet jack and an electric pallet lift is required.

Loading and unloading of pallets from trucks on a loading dock is regularly required.

The noise level is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
