The Challenge
As a Sr. Principal Data Analyst at OneTrust, you will be pivotal in driving data-informed decisions across our organization. While your role will have a broad purview, you will work closely with our Product team to align analytics efforts with our product strategy. Your insights will be crucial in navigating complex business challenges and shaping the future direction of our company. We’re looking for someone who’s not just analytically skilled but also a strong collaborator, confident communicator, and deeply committed to using data to drive meaningful business outcomes.
Your Mission
- Proactively analyze data from various domains, including product, finance, go-to-market strategies, marketing, and customer experience, to identify key trends and relationships.
- Provide strategic product analytics to support product development and enhancement efforts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define objectives and develop approaches to solve critical business problems, leveraging your experience and expertise.
- Design, enhance, and scale dashboards, visualizations, and automations to support product and business analytics needs.
- Work closely with leaders in product, finance, marketing, and customer experience to uncover insights, identify opportunities, and determine the root causes of performance trends.
- Apply advanced statistical techniques, such as causal inference methods, to analyze complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
- Mentor and guide junior analysts, ensuring adherence to best practices in data analysis and visualization.
- Translate complex data findings into clear and actionable recommendations for stakeholders through detailed reports, presentations, and interactive dashboards.
You Are
Educational Background:

Master’s Degree with a quantitative focus (Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, etc.); PhD is a plus.
Experience:
- 12+ years of experience utilizing analytical and statistical methods to support and drive critical business outcomes.
- Proven track record of supporting and influencing business strategy through analytics.
- Expertise in advanced analytics techniques, including causal modeling, A/B testing, and regression analysis.
- Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and Python for data analysis.
- Experience with cloud data platforms, particularly Snowflake, is highly desirable.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills; highly proficient in data analysis and driving data-informed decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for a business audience.
- A proactive approach with a bias for action—willing to build prototypes and refine them based on feedback, prioritizing progress over perfection.
- Strong curiosity and analytical mindset, with a passion for diving into data details.
- Outstanding organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently.
For California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington-based candidates: the annual base pay range for this role is listed below. Within this range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including location, job-related skills, work experience, and relevant education and/or training. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, equity, and/or commissions, as well as benefits.
