The Role
As the Chief of Staff, Marketing & Growth (M&G) you’ll be integral to our work in helping vulnerable children achieve a brighter future. You will serve as the right hand to the Chief Marketing & Growth Officer (CMGO), helping to develop and ensure execution of the division agenda. You will drive gains in productivity and impact, continuously improving day-to-day operations and driving large scale projects to timely completion focusing on information sharing/flow, and decision-making effectiveness. You’ll serve as an advisor to the CMGO and as extra eyes and ears, fostering relationships most important to the division’s priorities, considering the needs of the agency, anticipating potential roadblocks, and identifying areas requiring our attention.

What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

Strategic Development, Advising, & Monitoring (35%)
- In close collaboration with the CMGO, spearhead the development, execution, integration, and monitoring of divisional strategic plans and transformational change initiatives / roadmaps across all fundraising teams, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities; guide strategy refreshes and revisions as needed.
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to the CMGO and Senior Management Team, offering insights on operational risks, opportunities, and cross-functional alignment.
- Represent CMGO leadership in key internal and external engagements, ensuring consistent messaging, strategic positioning, and stakeholder confidence.
- Represent the Marketing & Growth division in cross-agency projects, enabling the CMGO to delegate leadership and decision-making responsibilities where appropriate. Collaborate with divisional leaders to gather and socialize feedback across teams.
- Partner with the CMGO, revenue stream leaders, and other M&G stakeholders to assess current operating models and performance metrics; develop frameworks to evaluate progress toward divisional goals. Collaborate with internal and external partners to track strategic progress; ensure dashboards are actionable and provide insights into strengths, gaps, and opportunities.
- Drive prioritization and delegation of tasks for the CMGO, enabling a shift from day-to-day operational decisions to higher-level strategic planning and external engagement.
- Deliver timely and proactive status updates, escalating issues as needed to remove roadblocks and maintain momentum.
Division-Wide Operations & Project Governance (30%)
- Lead and oversee integrated services across the Marketing & Growth Division, including enterprise project management, training, strategic planning, and internal communications.
- Design and implement scalable systems and tools that drive operational efficiency, foster knowledge sharing, and accelerate change adoption.
- Identify and recommend innovative business practices and performance monitoring approaches; champion the use of emerging technologies to enhance efficiency and knowledge management across all fundraising streams.
- Develop and execute a stakeholder engagement strategy to communicate the Marketing & Growth strategy’s goals, progress, and challenges across the division, with the Senior Leadership Team, and organization wide.
- Partner with the CMGO to develop strategic communications and materials—including agendas, executive briefings, governance proposals, and compelling presentations—for the Marketing, Communications, and Development Committee of the Board and other leadership engagements. Coordinate CMGO-led messaging across written updates, visual content, and presentations to support decision-making and enhance strategic visibility.
