Business Analyst - Merchant Solutions Reporting

What does a successful Financial Analyst do?

At Fiserv the Financial Analyst in this role will focus on gathering and managing reporting requirements to provide actionable insights and support decision-making within the line of business. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a deep understanding of reporting tools and methodologies, as well as an inside working knowledge of Merchant Solutions.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, gather, and document reporting requirements for the Merchant Solutions line of business.
  • Analyze existing reporting processes and tools to determine opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of requirements, workflows, and processes to ensure clarity and alignment among stakeholders.
  • Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams, translating business needs into clear technical specifications.
  • Conduct regular meetings and presentations with stakeholders to share findings, updates, and recommendations.

What you will need to have:

  • A minimum of 1 year as a Business Analyst, preferably in the financial services or technology sector
  • Inside working knowledge of Merchant Solutions and its operations.
  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on documentation and process clarity.

What would be nice to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Data Analytics and/or equivalent military or work experience.
  • Experience with SQL and SSRS for reporting and analysis.
  • Experience in the Merchant Solutions space or similar financial services domain.
  • Background in project management or agile methodologies.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Business Analysis Professional - CBAP).

Important information about this role:

  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and lead to stronger productivity.

  • This is a full-time, direct-hire position, and no contract options for unsolicited agency submissions will be considered.
