The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the Royal Hobart Hospital encompasses a busy inpatient and outpatient service. Rehabilitation physicians work across multiple hospital sites to deliver inpatient care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions. The Role

• As a Rehabilitation Specialist Consultant, participate in all aspects of the medical care of rehabilitation patients/clients across a range of settings, including acute inpatient, in-reach, ambulatory and community rehabilitation services. The occupant will:

  • Be involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
  • Be actively involved in research.
  • Undertake quality improvement activities.

Salary

Medical Practitioners (Public Sector) Award

A remuneration package comprising the Agreement base salary, relevant allowances and other entitlements will be negotiated with the successful applicant dependent on clinical experience and seniority.

Base salary points range for Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1 at $222,789 through to Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 11 at $305,539 with further salary increments available.

• Please note that access to the Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner salary range $309,222 - $319,701 is subject to the successful applicant satisfying the criteria for Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1, 2 or 3 as outlined in the Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award
