POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:
The Compliance Officer leads the business unit oversight related to compliance with primary federal and state regulations and statutes for all products offered through RPG. In addition, this position will work closely with the Bank’s Compliance Department to ensure RPG is meeting the standards and expectations of the Bank’s Compliance Management System.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 7 years’ compliance and/or legal experience in banking or fintech industry with consumer facing product management required.
• Knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements impacting Republic Processing Group including Fair Credit Reporting Act (Regulation V), Truth in Lending Act (Regulation Z), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Unfair, Deceptive, and Abusive Acts and Practices (UDAAP), Electronic Funds Transfer Act (Regulation E), Truth in Savings Act (Regulation DD) and Bank Secrecy Act/Anti Money Laundering.
• Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) or management-approved equivalent preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop policies, procedures, and training to ensure alignment and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, federal and state laws, and regulations.
• Work closely with department management to obtain strategic goals in a compliant and efficient manner.
• Interface regularly with the Bank’s Compliance Department on initiatives with a regulatory impact.
• Develop and oversee the material review process to ensure appropriate regulatory review. This includes documentation of relevant information and regulatory analysis.
• Provide compliance feedback on new or enhancements of existing products and services.
• Engage with department associates and Compliance management on the strategy for adherence to laws, regulations, and guidance for new products, programs, or enhancement of existing products.
• Conduct regular meetings to discuss current processes, monitoring and review needs, regulatory updates, and/or emerging risks.
• As needed, recommend compliance training to associates and third parties.
• Provide support to associates in the analysis and resolution of issues or concerns to ensure appropriate and timely resolution.
• Collaborate with management on the implementation product updates driven by regulatory changes.
• Review new products and initiatives for compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, statutes, and guidance and provide advice to business holders and stakeholders.
• Develop and implement compliance related key performance indicators for products.
• Responsible for the review of testing and monitoring plans to ensure program encompasses and effectively monitors relevant regulatory risks. Provide recommendations on areas of changing expectations and emerging risks.
• Provide assistance in other areas when needed such as product and system testing and development.
• Monitor and analyze developing trends and changes in applicable laws and regulations, including credit and payments.
• Implement and execute appropriate risk assessment processes, in conjunction with the Bank’s enterprise-wide regulatory and other risk assessments.
• Report updates to management on issues to ensure awareness and to evaluate appropriate next steps for resolution.
• Responsible for adequate record maintenance and processes to document compliance efforts and risk decisions.
