Finance - Senior Staff Accountant

Summary:
Responsible for core general ledger activities to ensure complete and accurate account reconciliations, analysis, accruals and reserves and timely monthly financial statements.

Duties:
• Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close; meet internal and external reporting deadline.
• Timely completion of monthly account reconciliations, responsible for more complex account reconciliations, and oversight as a reviewer of certain account reconciliations performed by Staff Accountant.
• Accurate preparation of journal entries as part of month-end closing process.
• Manage intercompany sales, payables and receivables, ensuring proper reconciliation and elimination at period end.
• Support daily/weekly treasury functions by processing wires, checks, cash forecasting and other daily cash reporting functions.
• Participate and partner with the finance team on key business initiatives.
• Create financial reports within the new ERP system and drive testing of those reports for accuracy.
• Various audit schedules and functions as needed to support a clean and efficient year-end audit.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
7+ years of related experience.
Private equity owned firm experience a plus.
CPA, CMA or other appropriate certification, or desire to obtain certification.
Public accounting experience a plus.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger functions.
Foreign currency experience a plus.
Experience with ERP systems (S2K, Business Analytics).
Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel.
Previous experience in accounting in a growing multi-unit domestic and/or foreign company.
