Position Summary
ITT Connect and Control Technologies, headquartered in Valencia, Calif., provides fuel management, actuation, noise abatement and vibration isolation components to the aerospace industry and customized and standard products for precision motion control, energy absorption and vibration isolation for industrial markets.

Summary:
The Quality Engineer will support and implement quality systems requirements in design, supply chain management, manufacturing, assembly & test as well as customers within assigned product lines.
Essential Responsibilities
- Will use strong problem-solving skills to perform Root Cause analysis and Corrective Actions to reduce COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) including non-conforming products, scrap, reworks and FPY (First Pass Yield).
- Non-conforming hardware disposition.
- Complete quality system audits.
- Product evaluations.
- Process monitoring.
- Supplied part problem resolution.
- Data analysis and lead/participate in various process improvement and Kaizen events.
- Work directly work with the customer to understand and mitigate Quality concerns and provide appropriate timely responses for actions of containment, root cause analysis, corrective action and effectiveness reviews. Organize site visits for customers.
- Read/Interpret and assure Customer requirements are followed and flowed into Supplier Purchase Orders.
- Support production by analyzing problems, recommending, and implementing corrective actions as well as obtaining data to create appropriate metrics and plans for continuous improvement.
- Create, monitor and improve production quality metrics such as first pass yield. Make appropriate charts for display, actively participate in daily GEMBA meetings, and lead appropriate improvements
- Perform Root Cause analysis on internal and external product with timely responses and ensure all corrective actions are validated to prevent recurrence of non-conformances.
- Perform activities of an Internal auditor and create appropriate reports per procedures.
- Act as a Quality representative on the Engineering Change Control Board.
Position Requirements
BS in Engineering with 7+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Operations, Production and/or Design Engineering
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Aerospace industry
Knowledge of AS9100D standard requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
In depth knowledge of Quality Engineering processes and tools including; PPAP (Process flow, PFMEA, Control Plans, Process capability studies, GR&R), RCCA, APQP. SPC and AS9102 FAIR
Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing concepts. Black Belt or Green Belt certifications preferred
Strong customer service skills
Experience in assembly, welding, machine shop and testing processes
Experience in creating Work Instructions and Quality Control Plans
Strong organizational, teamwork and decision-making skill
