Provides and assist in quality patient care in the Medical/Surgical Services, Telemetry, ED, ICU and various patient care units and Division under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse.Job Description:
EDUCATION:
- HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic patient care skills, clinic procedures, and equipment.
- Knowledge of appropriate emergency care for role (i.e. chest compressions, dialing 911)
- Ability to follow instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain patient care information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadline.
- General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.
- Identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.
- Build collaborates relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.
DEPARTMENT REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Departments delivering hemodialysis: Demonstrated knowledge of dialysis water quality per AAMI (American Academy of Medical Instrumentation) Standards
- Departments delivering hemodialysis: Capable of providing necessary immediate interventions managing dialysis complications, as allowed by scope of practice.

Pay Range is $33.16 to $37.15 / hourThe compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
