Assembly is looking for an Associate Director, Paid Search who will be accountable for all aspects of their assigned client's Paid Search campaigns. The candidate should have management qualities and experience to be able to mentor each of the positions under them (i.e., managers and coordinators). The role requires business acumen, experience in retail and e-commerce verticals, advanced technical knowledge of SEM technology, creative energy, and a passion for working in performance driven environments while fostering strong work ethic within the team. 

Responsibilities

    • Oversight of client performance-based programs - Orchestrate large-scale SEM programs 
    • Set the strategic vision for all SEM programs 
    • Work with Client Experience & Channel Leads to understand and execute integrated media solutions 
    • Oversee a team that analyzes the results and provides optimization recommendations while the media is live 
    • Handles Vendor relationships 
    • Works with sophisticated bid management strategies 
    • Work on advanced analytics 
    • Present all QBR/Monthly/Weekly and ad-hoc documents 
    • Responsible for overall media objectives and strategies that fulfill client business goals 
    • Communicate/Troubleshoot changes to the field and technical teams relating to our tracking methodology 
    • Looks at our products and associated available metrics - and advises how to use them / integrate them with overall platform 
    • Act as a thought leader with innate curiosity and aptitude across paid search advertising. Be a trusted source for ongoing digital counsel and search education 

Requirements

    • 5+ years SEM experience 
    • 2-3 years' experience in team management 
    • Strong understanding of the technology behind Engine performance 
    • Extensive knowledge of Google Analytics/Adobe Analytics 
    • Experience in both ROAS/ROI and CPA goal related SEM Programs 
    • Understanding of how SEO works with SEM 
    • Heavy forecasting experience 
    • The ability to work across a matrix environment and thrive in an entrepreneurial and results-oriented culture 
    • Strong Experience using search engine and bid management platforms 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, specifically in presentations and speaking to senior level client contacts 
    • Experience with large budget SEM management  
    • Highly developed organization and communication skills are necessary
