JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Evidence-Based Prevention and Intervention Support (EPIS) project at the Edna Bennett Pierce Prevention Research Center (PRC) in the College of Health and Human Development is seeking one or two temporary Part-Time Prevention Content Development Specialist(s) to join the Prevention Learning Portal (PLP) project. The candidate(s) hired for this position will join the PLP content development team in planning curriculum, developing the scope and outline of online training resources, and researching subject matter content that will be applied in an online learning environment.

The position is funded for 10-15 hours/week for 17 weeks, from March 1-June 30, 2024.

The successful candidate(s) should be able to think creatively and will have knowledge of research-based learning theories, content and audience analysis, adult learning theories, and assessment strategies. The candidate(s) will work with colleagues and key stakeholders in using best practices for the design, development, assessment, evaluation, and implementation of self-paced, online learning resources.

The successful candidate(s) will be able to:

• Incorporate current approaches to online learning
• Conduct content analyses and work with instructional designers and stakeholders
• Assist in the implementation of online course materials
• Demonstrate excellent time management and communication skills
• Work well with a primarily remote, collaborative team

Job responsibilities will include:

• Envisioning scope, purpose, and audience for online trainings/resources
• Determining learning objectives and the ways in which success will be measured
• Obtaining subject matter content and organizing instructional material
• Envisioning learning activities
• Assisting in the management of course projects in Asana, Smartsheet, and the Office 365 Sui
