Job Title: Pharmacy Assistant
Department: Outpatient Specialty Pharmacy
Location: Wilson Pharmacy (1425 Portland Avenue, Rochester, NY 14618)
Hours Per Week: 40 hours/Full-time
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m.- 5 p.m.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Medication Management. Properly operate the ADMs (Automatic Dispensing Machines); prepack bulk medication and repackage into individual size packaging; prepare all medications in a sterile and clean environment; fill and document patient orders; properly dispose of medication
- Delivery & Care. Round to floors and deliver medications or pharmaceutical supplies to patients, the nursing station, or surgery; add measured drugs or nutrients to intravenous solutions
- Computer Utilization. Properly operate the EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system; use the pharmacy information system to run reports and access medication data; compile and send orders
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.

It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
