Lead Commercial HVAC Journeyman

This is a full-time, direct placement role at Ridge Mechanical, Inc.

Our company is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, starting- up, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems for commercial buildings. As a Commercial HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of HVAC systems to maximize customer comfort and minimize downtime.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC systems and develop solutions to resolve them.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure their safe and efficient operation, including cleaning coils, replacing filters, and lubricating motors.
• Install and repair ductwork and piping systems to ensure proper airflow and refrigerant circulation.
• Install and program thermostats and other HVAC control systems.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including materials used and time spent on each job.
• Communicate with customers to explain the work to be performed, answer questions, and provide guidance on HVAC system operation and maintenance.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry developments related to HVAC systems.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC related field experience.
• 10+ years of experience in commercial HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including their design, operation, and components.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems and their operation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
