As the Senior Staff Technical Product Manager for Infrastructure and Developer Experience, TLM at Cruise, you will help build the future of our production cloud and on-premises infrastructure, network backbone, autonomous vehicle simulation infrastructure, site reliability engineering, and developer productivity. Our ideal candidate will be technically adept and metrics driven, with outstanding communication skills, executive presence, and customer obsession.

Our infrastructure unlocks the ability for our autonomous vehicle engineering teams to iterate rapidly towards unlocking improvements in our core technology and is the foundation for our mission-critical production service.

We're seeking a seasoned expert with a robust understanding of AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure, as well as open-source and machine-learning tools. Your mandate is to drive the evolution of our production cloud and on-premises infrastructure, ensuring scalability and resilience and refining and optimizing our developer experience. Your influence will span a diverse range of computing workloads, enabling our engineers to redirect their focus from repetitive tasks to groundbreaking innovation.

What you’ll be doing:

• Drive the product vision and strategy for our infrastructure, informed by a deep understanding of customer needs, product analytics, industry innovations, and a strong grasp of AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, open source, and machine learning tools.

• Partner closely with senior management and engineering teams to define and align on vision, strategy, and roadmaps, ensuring scalability and optimal configuration tooling across our infrastructure.

• Develop product roadmaps in collaboration with relevant product and engineering teams that execute on product vision and strategy.

• Define success metrics for our products and drive the execution and continuous evaluation of these metrics.

• Create strong partnerships with our engineers, forming continuous feedback loops that enable a better understanding and solution of their problems.

• Source input from multiple channels to ensure that we're solving the most impactful problems and prioritizing effectively to drive maximum impact.

• Thoughtfully address product lifecycle and adoption/migration experience in our product evolution, providing clear guidance and recommendations to our engineers.

• Contribute to the evolution of our customer engagement model, communication strategy, and prioritization and planning/roadmapping practices.

What you must have:

• 8+ years of product management experience delivering highly impactful and innovative infrastructure and developer tools at scale.

• Proven expertise in leading highly technical infrastructure projects, with a specific focus on AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and on-premises. 

• Solid understanding of open source and machine learning tools, scalability principles, and configuration tooling.

• Demonstrated ability to formulate and champion a compelling product vision for infrastructure and developer tools, communicating this effectively with leadership and key team members.

• Robust experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, particularly Engineering and User Experience Design.

• Proficiency in deriving key product insights from quantitative and qualitative data analysis.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
