The Sr. Global Assignment Consultant (SGAC) provides vital support to SIRVA’s corporate clients in managing personnel relocating for international assignments. Acting as the primary point of coordination for international assignees, the SGAC ensures the seamless delivery of assignment management services according to the client’s policies and procedures.
The SGAC will manage approximately 60% of a standard caseload, maintaining consistent practices across the account and managing/updating all information used in the relocation process. Additionally, the SGAC may serve as the first point of escalation for assignee issues, facilitating problem-solving and resolution.
To be considered for this position, candidates must:
• Have a minimum of 5 years of relocation experience.
• Demonstrate knowledge across multiple aspects of global relocation (e.g., Visa & Immigration, Home Sale, Home Purchase).

Functions and Responsibilities:

Oversee the delivery of the full spectrum of assignment management services, including policy counseling, destination services, household goods shipping, intercultural services, visa/immigration, ongoing assignment support, and repatriation. Interpret client policies and procedures to provide tailored advice and consultation to assignees based on their needs and country-specific requirements. Manage assignment-related expenses.

Coordinate with internal departments to ensure a successful assignee experience. Manage Global Certified Provider communications and ensure quality service delivery. Work with Account Management to meet client goals, participate in quarterly/annual reviews, run client reports, and recommend process improvements. Attend and coordinate weekly client meetings as required.

Serve as liaison with client HR contacts on relocation/assignment issues affecting employees and families. Assist with exception management, providing recommendations as needed. Provide assignee status updates, offer solutions to issues, and complete client projects/reports as requested.

Assign new authorizations and manage GAC workload. Maintain consistent practices and all forms required to support the account. Train new GACs on client-specific elements and act as the first point of escalation for service-related issues where applicable.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills:
• Minimum 5 years of direct relocation experience
• Knowledge of international assignment management and global business practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to act independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and business etiquette
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and job-related systems
• Preference for candidates with overseas work/living experience
• Preference for candidates with secondary language skills
