Job Description
Danfoss is looking for an enthusiastic and self-driven Account Manager, determined to increase the share of wallet, secure new opportunities to achieve sales growth targets, and provide exceptional service to our existing Fluid Conveyance customers. The Account Manager owns the sales growth and relationship of assigned OEM accounts. Plans, coordinates, and executes all sales efforts to achieve targeted growth while maintaining a professional connection with the customer. Working closely with our Danfoss customer service, engineering, and product teams to provide the appropriate level of support.
This is a remote position for someone currently located in the United States. Relocation will not be considered for this position.
Job Responsibilities
• Develop and execute targeted growth plans for customer base to meet or exceed strategic objectives. Focus on net new wins and maintaining strong business relationships.
• Identify customer applications, products, programs, etc. that present an opportunity for Danfoss product sales. Propose solutions to meet customer needs that are in line with business goals and objectives.
• Utilize a professional sales process to uncover customer needs, handle objections/concerns, and determine appropriate solutions while claiming the DPS value for profitable growth.
• Establish a value selling approach when developing proposals tailored to the customer expectations that supports Danfoss margin contribution values and goals.
• Ensure operational alignment with customers by effectively communicating all relevant Danfoss policies and procedures.
• Conduct periodic business reviews with Danfoss leadership.
• Coordinate and partner with internal stakeholders – customer service, business units, applications engineers, pricing, quality, etc. to ensure high levels of support and communication to assigned customers.
• Represent Voice of Customer within our organization by communicating on topics such as price, product changes, forecasts, new product needs, performance metrics and other relevant topics to ensure Danfoss understands customer expectations.
• Develop broad relationships with customers (Top-down) to cover key decision-makers and critical departments that will support the specification and purchase of our products.
• Coordinates commercial and technical presentations on current and new Danfoss products and their applications for customer equipment.
• Prepare and submit sales call reports, action/operating plan updates, expense reports, and other sales-oriented documents on a routine basis.
• Maintains good record keeping of CRM reports in an organized and accurate manner for internal performance analysis.
Background & Skills
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or relevant years of industry experience
• 3+ years of customer-facing experience
• Authorized to work within the United States
• Travel Up to 50% across the U.S., Canada and Mexico
• Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering preferred.
• IFPS certifications
Job Criteria
• Effective and adaptable communication skills
• Experience working with a CRM System
• Ability to work with all forms of Microsoft applications
