Job Description

As we continue our mission, we are looking for a Quality Control Associate to join our team of dedicated Scientists here in Waltham. You will have the opportunity to work on biochemical and cell-based assay kits and reagents by providing support to the Quality Control team validating in house manufactured products. This is a unique opportunity to be part of new growth at Abcam.

Your role will include:

  • Perform documented methods required for finished product quality testing
  • Review manufacturing documentation for process deviations and communicate analyzed results in detailed, written reports
  • Troubleshoot technical issues that may arise in assay kit production or validation
  • Communicate validation results, maintain laboratory records, and SOPs
  • Abide by laboratory SOPs and comply with all Abcam EH&S, ethical and quality standards

Qualifications

You will have at least a BSc in biochemistry or a related degree with some lab experience.

You have some knowledge of plate-based assays, along with being a confident user of MS-Office applications, may have been developed in an industrial production or research environment.

You will be an enthusiastic team-player, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Your focus will be on running validation protocols and documenting materials and processes utilized.
