Job Description
The HR Generalist provides consultation to site leadership on their operational and business issues to assess the human resources impact on current and future plans, providing managers and supervisors with the most informed foundation to base decisions.
Qualifications
Principal responsibilities:
- Implementing end-to-end recruitment process, including:
- Profile alignment and consulting with hiring manager
- Job posting and advertising
- System (ATS) maintenance
- Liaising with 3rd party recruiters or leasing agencies
- Resume and phone screening
- Schedule interviews
- Making a hiring and pay decision, with the hiring manager
- Preparing Job offer and employment contract
- Collecting pre-employment documentation and other requirements
- Welcome and on-boarding/orientation meetings
- Compensation and benefits
- Gather updated market data and benchmark reports on industry, in alignment with Corporate Benefits/Compensation Team
- Participate in industry benchmark surveys, in alignment with Corporate Benefits/ Compensation Team
- Act as single point of contact for benefits-related queries in general
- Preparing and collating reports
- Support the HRBP in the analyses of HR KPI’s and their fulfillment by generating accurate, high-quality reports relating to hiring, sickness, attrition, diversity, etc.
- Track and manage a variety of associate programs, service awards, referral bonus processing, etc.
- HR Administration
- Maintain personnel files and input accurate and current employee data in the applicable HR system/s
- Liaison with Corporate Team on payroll, benefits, and other HR transactional activities
- Manage department Pcard and maintain a ready balance for ordering items for the department.
- Associate Engagement Activities
- Support local site events geared towards associate engagement such as outings, diversity day, employee of the month, monthly newsletter, etc.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is required. Competencies: Required:
- Knowledge of human resources management practices and US labor / employment law.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
- Proven ability to solve complex problems and resolve conflict at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation, or federal/state law.
- Excellent skill in both verbal and written communication, with financial and business acumen.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality necessary.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Must be a self-starter who is flexible to changing business demands; sense of urgency, and works well under pressure.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Patience and professionalism are essential.
- Keen ability to comprehend and analyze complex data sets.
Knowledge of SAP business system, preferred Technological Experience:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
