Job Description:


This Merrill Center for Family Wealth role is a unique opportunity to join a highly visible and respected team within Merrill focused on empowering clients to define the purpose of their wealth and to be intentional about wealth’s impact on themselves, their families and their communities.

The primary responsibilities of this role include helping to develop and deliver insights and content to effectively engage with clients, Financial Advisors and other key internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will have stellar written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail, the ability to prioritize and follow-through on relevant tasks and a willingness to learn and join a highly collaborative and supportive team.

Responsibilities:

  • Help create tailored content and deliver/facilitate client family meetings, to help clients navigate topics such as communication about wealth/disclosure, financial education, governance policy development, etc.; prepare comprehensive prep and follow-up to capture key takeaways and next steps

  • Develop materials to effectively engage and empower  Financial Advisors through group trainings, individual connects and other educational resources

  • Support educational curriculum and program design for Financial Advisors and clients

  • Research existing and new family wealth dynamics and governance topics to provide input to inform team’s thought leadership

  • Interface with internal firm partners as needed

  • Participate and contribute on team calls to help ensure follow-through on key priorities 

  • Submit team materials for internal compliance review and ensure follow-up for approval

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience working with ultra-high net worth clients (e.g. family governance, meeting facilitation, planning, family office, or other related fields)

  • Strong interest in the field of family wealth dynamics and governance

Desired Qualifications:

  • Concentration in business/management and/or psychology/sociology welcome but not required
