About This Role
Textron Systems in Goose Creek, SC is looking for a dedicated Sr. Scheduler to develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for programs in our Simulation & Training business segment. As a Sr. Scheduler, you will work cross-functionally with program management, engineering, supply chain and operations to develop, manage and report on IRAD, Engineering Development and Production schedules. In this role you’ll also provide mentoring on scheduling best practices to junior schedulers and project managers as requested.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise in schedule analytics, planning methods and best practices
- Resolve schedule issues efficiently
- Perform the role of relieving demand and loading demand
- Define and maintain schedule documentation
- Analyze schedules and ensure they accurately represent contractual scope, flow, and resources required to execute the program
- Monitor and improve planning and scheduling processes and procedures
- Analyze operational health metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Assist in the development of program baselines, including assigning resources within work-breakdown-structures, assigning earned value methods, and verification of contract budget baseline
- Coordinate with Financial Analysts and provide technical insight on earned value variance analysis to assist CAMs in baseline variance reporting
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years’ experience in scheduling within an engineering development and/or manufacturing operation, or other similar experience
- Demonstrated success in planning, developing, baselining and tracking schedules for commercial and DoD programs
- Proven working knowledge and understanding of advanced scheduling methodologies and techniques
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain, Business or other related field is preferred.
- Experience with implementing, tracking and reporting schedule performance/earned value
- Ability to derive, interpret and present schedule performance and efficiency metrics to Senior Leadership team (e.g. schedule variance, SPI, milestone burndown, plan vs actual, etc.)
- Familiar with Schedule - Cost integration within the COBRA financial engine, or similar
