The Team:

This is a sales position within the Market Intelligence business specifically driving revenue for the Entity Insights (EI) business line. This position will report into the of Global Head of Sales

Our EI business bring greater transparency to financial markets, helping to reduce risk and create opportunity.

Responsibilities and Impact:

  • The successful candidate will be a member of the Sales team and will work closely with Commercial, Product, Client Services, Account Management and Marketing to drive initiatives and campaigns. 

  • Ability to sell and understand thrid party lifecycle management solutions including onboarding, maintenance, impact of changing regulations, offboarding, cyber, ESG risk management
  • Fluent in managed services and outsourcing process solutions
  • Keep abreast of current and changing U.S. and global regulatory requirements impacting tax due diligence, withholding and reporting
  • Lead discussions with clients and prospects, including coordinating peer to peer sessions on regulatory obligations, compliance and industry best practice
  • Work closely with the Commercial and Product Management Teams to help build and shape product roadmap and client feedback
  • Development and execution of a sales strategy with an emphasis on increasing revenue within an existing client portfolio
  • Relationship maintenance and development with key clients
  • Building and maintaining a solid pipeline, developing proposals, structuring agreements, and managing sophisticated relationships
  • Collaborate to cross-sell within broader Market Intelligence division

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $107,100 to $212,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of sales experience and/or business development experience
  • Solution selling and proof of exceeding quota annually each year, ability to manage a complex sales process with $2m plus new revenue targets and ability to manage a sales closure cycle that may exceed 6 months
  • Pipeline management of opportunities and stakeholder management
  • Knowledge and experience of third party risk management
  • Broad based experience working with/for Tier One Sell-side Institutions at a mid-senior level with exposure to managing complex relationships and/or process’s
  • Must be able to manage senior level meetings and navigate to senior level contacts including mapping out on paper the key stakeholders, business connectivity, and decision makers at the customer

  • Keeps customers moving forward through their buying process
