Job Description

Position: IT Manager/Sr.Manager, Learning Management Systems

Location: Remote within United States

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced and hands-on individual to join our team as the Manager/ Sr. Manager of Learning Management Systems (LMS). In this role, you will own and manage the business applications related to external and internal Learning Management Systems. Your primary focus will be on E2E business process, Systems Architecture and LMS Integrations, ensuring seamless connectivity with the rest of the IT Business Applications landscape. You will work closely with cross-functional business and IT teams to understand and define the business process, define the strategy, define requirements and design solutions that align with our business objectives.

Responsibilities/What You’ll Do:

• E2E Ownership and Management of Learning Management Systems: You will take ownership of our current internal (employees) and external (customers, partners, guests) LMS platforms, CMS platform, Certification platform, Badging platform, and any future solutions / platforms, ensuring their effective functioning and optimal utilization for training and development purposes.
• Strategy and Roadmap: Work closely with business stakeholders to define the business process and technology platforms strategy and roadmap over 24-36 months. 
• Systems Architecture and Integration: As a crucial member of the IT team, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining the architecture of the LMS and ensuring smooth integrations with other business applications in our technology ecosystem. 
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with LMS, CMS and Certification platform vendors and other relevant technology providers. Evaluate new and existing vendors to ensure they meet our organizational requirements and maintain healthy partnerships. 
• Requirements Definition: Work closely with various business units to gather and document functional and technical requirements for the LMS. Develop clear and detailed specifications that guide the implementation and configuration of the systems.
• Solution Design: Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand business needs and translate them into comprehensive and scalable solution designs. Your designs should align with business objectives while considering scalability, efficiency, and user experience.
• Systems Administration, Maintenance and Support: Hands-on administration, and oversight of ongoing maintenance and support activities for the LMS, CMS, and Certification platforms, ensuring their stability, security, and high availability.
• Training and User Support: Provide training and support to end-users to ensure they can effectively use the LMS platforms for learning and development activities.
• Stay Updated with Technology Trends: Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to learning management systems, content management systems, certification platforms, and badging systems.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Your Background:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
• Overall ~15 years of experience managing enterprise business applications, with 10+ years of managing Learning Management Systems and related technologies.
• Strong understanding of E2E business process for Enablement, Learning Management, Certification Management, etc., and their best practices.
