As the Senior Director of Infrastructure & SRE at Spark Networks, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the infrastructure and reliability strategy for our platforms. You will lead a team of talented engineers to ensure our systems are scalable, resilient, and efficient. Your leadership will drive the continuous improvement of our infrastructure and reliability practices, ensuring exceptional user experiences and operational excellence.

Requirements

What You'll Do

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the strategic vision for infrastructure and SRE, aligning with business goals and ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure and SRE professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Infrastructure Management: Oversee the management of our AWS-based infrastructure, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to ensure robustness and scalability.
• Reliability Engineering: Implement and advocate for SRE best practices, including proactive monitoring, incident response, and performance optimization.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and product management, to drive alignment and collaboration.
• Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve infrastructure and reliability processes, leveraging automation and innovative solutions.
• Metrics and Reporting: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure system reliability, performance, and efficiency, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
• Cloud and IT Services: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's networks, servers, storage, and other IT infrastructure components. Ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability of IT systems.

Who You Are

• Experienced Leader: Extensive experience in infrastructure management and SRE, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
• Technical Expert: Deep understanding of AWS and managing infrastructure using IaC, experience managing complex IT infrastructure projects.
• SRE Proficiency: Expertise in SRE principles, including monitoring, incident management, and performance optimization.
• Innovative Thinker: Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• Collaborative Leader: Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Metrics-Driven: Experience in establishing and monitoring KPIs to ensure operational excellence.
• Excellent Communicator: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to stakeholders.
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans

Qualifications

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of network architecture, server management, storage solutions, cloud technologies, and SRE principles.
• Proven track record of leading and mentoring technical teams.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, or related certifications are a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English skills (written and verbal).
