BACKGROUND Purpose of Activity/Assignment:   UNGEI is a global partnership for gender equality in and through education. Our mandate is to catalyse and galvanize action locally, nationally, regionally and global for girls’ education and gender equality in education. The UNGEI Secretariat is governed by UNICEF policies of employment. We strive to uphold feminist and anti-racist principles in how we work and offer flexible work arrangements.   The Community Coordinator is crucial to the delivery of one of UNGEI’s flagship initiatives, the Feminist Network for Gender Transformative Education (FemNet4GTE). FemNet4GTE will bring together local and global organizations and activists who seek to achieve gender equality in and through education. The UN Girls’ Education Initiative's (UNGEI) goal in developing, curating, and convening this network is to create a strong movement of actors that demand commitment by education leaders to this area of work and provide support to them to fulfil their commitments. In addition to creating a connected group of actors, in 2025 UNGEI will also support in-person gatherings at a regional level, and one global meeting in New York, to take place in September. Scope of Work: Under the supervision of the Communications & Advocacy Manager, and in close collaboration with UNGEI team, the Community Coordinator will support UNGEI by leading on community management and communications with participants of the FemNet4GTE in the run up to, delivery of and wrap-up of the Network meetings This is a deliverable-based contract in 2025. The Community Coordinator is responsible for: 1. Continuous and engaged community liaison ensured with the participants of the Feminist Network for Gender Transformative Education 2. Ensuring FemNet4GTE meetings are convened with quality, feminist, and inclusive content 3. Ensuring knowledge and expertise gained from the FemNet4GTE is consolidated and amplified http://www.ungei.org/ Terms of Reference / Specific Deliverables 1. Continuous and engaged community liaison ensured with the participants of the Feminist Network for Gender Transformative Education Produce and disseminate timeline for 4 regional Network meetings and 1 global meeting Support regional leads and UNGEI team to develop invitee lists for 4 regional and 1 global meeting  Convene & lead up to four virtual participant meetings, including liaison before and after the meeting Write and disseminate all pre-meeting communications with participants, including slides, agendas, meeting minutes Manage a secure online database of participants’ details Develop, disseminate, and support participant and facilitator travel plans as needed Write and disseminate information packs for participants and speakers including all pertinent information on the meetings Support communications and advocacy lead in the convening and leading of planning group meetings, including liaison before and after the meetings 30 September 2025 2. Ensuring FemNet4GTE meetings (4 regional action workshops and 1 global meeting) are convened with quality, feminist, and inclusive content Develop and disseminate safeguarding, inclusion and accessibility strategy in line with UNICEF policies and UNGEI principles, taking action as needed to ensure compliance from all members Convene up to 20 planning meetings with regional leads and UNGEI team to prepare for the meetings  Provide written and verbal feedback on workshop agenda to ensure the meetings meet  participants’
