The League Accounting Analyst is responsible for the accounting for leagues and communicating findings and issues to the Manager of Cash and League Accounting
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Customer Service:
- Resolves center league accounting problems concerning check requests, approval, deposits, balance disputes and late checks.
- Coordinates/participates in monthly business reviews with centers in partnership with League Accounting staff.
Accounting:
- Prepares all monthly reconciliations for league liability accounts including but not limited to tournaments.
- Performs all necessary transfers as requested by centers
- Deposit funds in the league accounts as necessary and resolve stocking issues
- Processes all league statements from the accounting software (JDE) at the end of revenue close each month
- Records all signed league statements on the excel matrix each month
Accounts payable:
- Processes center league prize fund disbursement requests.
- Extracts disbursement and prize fund liability data from financial systems, compiles and provides reporting and analysis as needed to all levels of management.
- Maintains outstanding check request files and reports.
Internal Controls and Training:
- Maintains league accounting manuals, policies and procedures for internal departmental use and field communication.
- Reviews and evaluates departmental processes; identifying areas of improvement (control and efficiencies)
- Edits and processes league accounting contracts, check requests and service agreements
- Maintains bowling centers in league accounting accounts receivable system
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A
QUALIFICATIONS: The League Accounting Analyst must possess a highly developed sense of customer service and interpersonal skills including high integrity, respect for all individuals (customers, vendors, and employees), solid communication skills, strong critical and analytical thinking skills, and appreciation of diversity (thought, ethnic, gender, etc.).
The League Accounting Analyst must be a strong team players and must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with attention to detail, possess excellent customer service skills, both written and oral, and maintain confidentiality in all matters.
Strong PC skills, excellent communication skills, strong analytical capabilities.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years Accounting related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to make sound decisions and work with minimal direction. Excellent time-management skills with proven ability to multi-task in a deadline oriented, changing environment.
