The P20&HF120 Mechanical Systems hardware owner is an individual contributor reporting to Integrated Manufacturing Engineering Sub-Section Manager. You will own all engineering functions related to the production of assigned Commercial components in Sourced Bearings and Gearboxes team (a.k.a. Mechanical Systems).This role is for the Passport 20 (P20) and Honda HF120 hardware owner, an experienced candidate who will work mainly (but not only) on delivery-critical components from one of our top suppliers, PCC Groton.
In this role, you will be on the front lines of an Integrated Manufacturing organization that is dedicated to improving producibility, enhancing the Engineering-Supply Chain relationship, and using SQDC principles to dramatically improve the health of the supply chain and product to enable the business to fulfill our customers' expectations.
Examples of specific tasks you will be responsible for include: producibility design changes, producibility reviews, ongoing manufacturing support, and strategic improvements across the Mechanical Systems commodity.

Roles and Responsibilities
Lead the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects, with guidance from CTH resources, using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
Have high levels of interaction with and exposure to engineers from multiple disciplines, manufacturing & quality, and regularly exposed to commodity and industry experts all while promoting open and honest dialogue.
Travel to manufacturing sites to gain practical knowledge of manufacturing.
Lead the engineering analysis and evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles to improve manufacturability and technical robustness of assigned components.
Use engineering judgement and experience to challenge entrenched processes and methodology to recommend improvements.
Utilize in-depth knowledge of engineering & manufacturing, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute on technically complex projects to meet technical requirements and business goals under mentorship of senior engineers.
Lead technical projects with low to moderate complexity through collaboration with field and industry experts.
Provide support to repair development, producibility improvements, hardware delivery and vendor qualifications.
Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
Required Qualifications
Strong technical attitude, including engineering tools and systems
Experience in a relevant engineering role – preferable both in manufacturing support and LCE
MRB Certification within Mechanical Systems commodity
Solid oral and written communication skills – importan
