As the Head of Data you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all data initiatives within the Verve Group with a team of skilled product managers and specialists to drive the development and delivery of data products that align with our company's mission and vision. You will play a critical role in defining and executing the data strategy, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that our data products drive our revenues and meet the highest standards of quality and innovation.

This position can be occupied in New York in a hybrid set-up or filled remotely in one of the following states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas and Utah, Washington D.C.


What You Will Do

  • Drive and own the commercial and product roadmaps including O&O-data, behavioral data and contextual data

  • Be the go-to person pertaining to data for direct clients and agencies as well as internal stakeholders

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data product strategy that aligns with the company's business goals and objectives; Identify market opportunities, user needs, and industry trends to guide product development

  • Define use cases for our supply and demand businesses to be more data and AI led

  • Active participation in external forums advocating around the upcoming privacy standards and use of data

  • Actively propose and structure partnerships across the advertising eco-system to enable media to become more effective

  • Manage and mentor a team of data product managers and experts, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day activities, career growth, and professional development

  • Own client relations by regularly interacting with key contacts including clients, agencies and data partners

  • Conduct market research, gather user feedback, and analyze data to identify opportunities for product improvements and innovations; Stay informed about competitors and market trends

  • Close collaboration with cross-functional teams including engineering, data science, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure alignment and successful product development and launch

  • Set high-quality standards for data products, conduct rigorous testing, and ensure that products meet or exceed performance expectation; Monitor product performance and address any issues promptly

  • Implement data governance practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Manage the budget for data team, resource allocation and cost control

  • Effectively communicate the value and progress of data products to internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership and customers

Requirements

What You Will Bring


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, data science, business)

  • Proven experience in product management, with a strong focus on data products and data-driven solutions

  • Strong understanding and leverage of Machine Learning and AI capabilities for both, server and client side, to be able to keep advertising highly efficient and personalized

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing and mentoring product management teams

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and understand complex technical concepts
