In this position, you will be part of TASC’s agency infrastructure, whose departments collectively assure the overall quality, fiscal responsibility, effectiveness, and impact of TASC’s work, and work to advance our mission to build a healthier, safer, and more just society.
We are currently looking for full-time –Business System Analyst
Summary: This position is responsible for translating user needs and processes to software requirements, recommends and designs appropriate automation. Conducts software testing, marketing and implementation, user support, and reports testing. Develops and maintains related documentation. Insures appropriate use and utilization of the existing automation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Requirements analysis, system design, and training
- Analyzes user needs and requests for operations, management and contractual reporting, translates them to software requirements and system design specifications. Communicates with users and other involved parties on requirements definition.
- Promotes appropriate use and utilization of the existing automation. Monitors users’ processes, reports non-standard automation use, works with users to insure maximum benefits of the existing automation.
- Performs low-complexity system programming, development of reports and other technical tasks as assigned.
Data analysis, testing, and research
- Conducts data analysis, cleanup and reporting.
- Coordinates ECR communications center activities and ECR expansion to data exchange and portals.
- Conducts software testing. Develops and executes test plans, coordinates with developers iterative issue resolution process.
- Monitors and insures that TASC systems operate and are used in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
Requirements
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science or related field from an accredited college or university
- At least three years’ experience in analysis and design of software systems for behavioral healthcare.
- Extensive user experience with computer hardware and software, including mobile and web-based platforms.
- Extensive experience with various software applications, including Microsoft Office, including advanced Access.
- Technical aptitude, ability to understand and follow technical instructions and requirements. Trained in various TASC computer systems.
- Basic knowledge of database structures, queries and data maintenance.
- Experience working with external partners, collecting, verifying and maintaining information.
- Ability to make “cold calls” and represent the agency in a professional manner.
- Keep informed of all policies, procedures and regulations that apply to this position.
