Job Description Summary:
The Vice President of Engineering at OhioHealth is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing all software engineering domains within the organization. This role is instrumental in driving technological innovation and excellence, ensuring the health, stability, and growth of OhioHealth's technology platforms. The VP of Engineering will lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of software solutions, partnering with various departments to define and execute a transformative vision for OhioHealth. Bachelor's Degree: Computer and Information ScienceMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- University bachelor's degree in computer science or business administration. A master's degree is considered a plus.
- Ten (10) plus years of experience managing and/or directing technology operations.
- Seven (7) years of experience working in the healthcare industry and/or academic health science center environment.
- Experience in strategic technology planning, execution, and policy development.
- Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business problems.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
- Deep enterprise architecture knowledge and modern engineering principles.
- Proven leadership in transforming teams and ways of working.
- Significant experience managing large-scale enterprise architecture and application rationalization.
- Experience leveraging staffing models, including offshore, nearshore, and onshore team members.
- Extensive knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, and enterprise software applications.
- Technical experience with systems networking, databases, web development, and user support.
- Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional service orientation and ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
