Radiology Assistant Part Time Days

Summary

Will be working day shift primarily on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday day shift. Hours will be day shift hours. Could also work Monday and/or Thursday for additional coverage due to PTO. Not currently scheduled to work weekends or holidays.

Job Description:

Baptist Health LaGrange is hiring for a part time, dayshift, Radiology Assistant (RA). The RA performs receptionist, clerical and organizational duties that support the Diagnostic Imaging staff and process. The RA greets each patient, activates a patient account and processes workflow for Diagnostic Imaging. The RA also interacts with Radiologists and other Physicians on an ongoing basis. They have the responsibility of communicating with providers, scheduling and staff. The Radiology Assistant supports the fulfillment of the departmental mission to perform diagnostic radiologic testing that meets and exceeds customer expectations through accurate radiologic studies, continuous performance improvement and timely reporting of results.

As a Radiology Assistant, key responsibilities include processing radiology reports accurately and efficiently, as well as greeting patients and assisting with the processing of procedure orders to ensure a smooth workflow. The role involves handling both physical films and electronic images, ensuring proper organization and accessibility for diagnostic use. Regular attendance at staff meetings is expected to stay informed about departmental updates and procedures. Additionally, the Radiology Assistant is responsible for maintaining equipment and managing supplies to support daily operations and uphold the quality of patient care.

The candidate should have basic computer skills, typing and previous hospital experience preferred.
