Responsibilities
Your Role:
The Associate Staff Accountant will prepare and analyze the Company’s financial records. This position compiles financial statements, reviews data and ensure financial compliance. The Associate Staff Accountant is responsible for executing a variety of financial procedures, including month-end and year-end closings, accounts payable/receivable, tax returns, forecasting and budgeting.

- Understands and designs moderately complex accounting processes.
- Provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts and develops nonstandard reports and statements; such as forecasts reflecting the interrelations of accounting, cost budgeting, or comparable information.
- Interprets and points out trends or deviations from standards and projects data into the future.
- Interact with other business functions.
- May focus on a particular area such as general accounting, cost accounting, or financial reporting.
- Makes day-to-day decisions concerning the accounting treatment of financial transactions.
- Predicts the effects of changes in operating programs, or identifying management informational needs, and refining account structures or reports accordingly.
- Recommends solutions to moderately difficult problems and proposes changes in the accounting systems and procedures.
- In locations where applicable, responsible for complying with the SQF and GMP practices and programs to ensure safe food packaging product and to report food safety problems to those with the authority to act.
- Size, scope and complexity of assigned portfolio are factors in the level of responsibility.

Qualifications
We need you to have:
- BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting.
- 0-2 years of related professional Accounting experience.
- Experience with large, automated financial systems such as SAP or JDE.
- Proficient in MS Office with high proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
- Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
- Strong analytical skills as well as organizational skills.
- Ability to be discreet with confidential information.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
- Must be team-oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.
Icing on the cake:
- MBA or other advanced degree.
- CPA Certification.
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures used in the CPG industry.
