The Corporate Engineering team is responsible for building / providing services and infrastructure that empower our employees to be successful. A core area of focus is Identity Access Management, Automation and related infrastructure.

Databricks is hiring an experienced Infrastructure Leader to grow and scale the function globally, as the company continues its hyper-growth. You will be a key member of the Corporate Engineering leadership team to help implement resilient corporate office networks and cloud  infrastructure at scale.  You will come up to speed on existing capabilities as a foundation towards developing solutions for scale. This also is an opportunity to manage a  small but growing core team to focus on infra and related capabilities as a new sub team of Corporate Engineering.

The impact you will have:

• Lead and drive projects from idea formulation, to design, and to implementation
• Work with the head of corporate Engineering to set team strategy and be accountable for team plans and deliverables.
• Grow and build a strong, healthy, and diverse team through hiring as well mentoring and coaching.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams and cross functional teams
• Provide strong technical leadership to the team and stakeholders
• Enable our stakeholders by building amazing infrastructure capabilities that delight and empower.
• Identify the gaps in our infrastructure and design and build the solutions to address them.
• Meet our compliance and security requirements by introducing at scale instructure best practices and managing incident response.
• Partnering closely with our security and compliance teams to partake in audits, evidence collections and the development of associated processes.

What we look for:

• 5+ years of experience or related experience in the Network and Cloud infrastructure space deep understanding of driving construction projects for office spaces
• 3+ years of experience in managing and leading teams to build systems and frameworks improving service performance, resiliency and incident response.
• 1+ years in measuring success establishing KPIs, monitoring and overall driving operational excellence.
• Good understanding requirements and ability to budget for and project manage large office construction projects from a network and low voltage perspective.
• Strong track record of delivering resilient distributed systems in the cloud and services with a focus on infrastructure and related employee experience.
• Experience building and managing infrastructure, and familiarity with access certification processes including the handling of logs, audits and controls.
• Strong hands-on technical skills. Can drill deep into the complex infrastructure design and implementation when needed.
• Comfortable programming in languages such as Spark, SQL, Python, node.js, golang or Scala is welcome
