Who You Are:

What You Will Be Doing:
- Ensures the loading team loads and unloads trucks and racks of glass; packs and stacks product in appropriate areas.
- Give instruction to the loading team regarding any special packing, loading, shipments.
- Ability to use a seated forklift to transport material safely throughout the plant.
- Ensures trucks are loaded according to DOT Safety Standards.
- Reads and attaches appropriate labels and tags to products.
- Assist loaders, if needed, in one or more of the following:
- Wraps and boxes material with plastic wrap and cardboard to prevent damage to material.
- Transports glass or other materials from one position/location to another in an effort to expedite the production process. (Missing product for shipment)
- Straps glass to the carts and or trucks so they are safe for moving.
- Follows work instructions by reading labels to expedite the production process; understands and communicates paperwork and labels/picking list.
- Quality inspection, operating equipment, and/or manually maneuvering equipment.
- Actively manage the loading team’s time worked with the goal to minimize any overtime
- Actively manage the Loaders performance with the efficiency of the loading process to meet and exceed TPS standards.
Skills You Bring:
- ABLE to read a tape measure accurately
- ABILITY to lift 75lbs independently
- Must be able to drive a seated forklift
- Must be proficient in using a computer and Microsoft programs for reporting purposes
- Regular and predictable attendance, safe performance of tasks, adherence and commitment to all safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment (heat, cold, humidity)
- Basic math and computer skills
