About the Role:

Seeking a visionary Sr. Director of Engineering who embodies a holistic approach to technology leadership, transcending technical expertise to embrace a true entrepreneurial spirit. The ideal candidate will treat our business as if it were their own lemonade stand, driving innovation, operational excellence, and strategic growth through a deep understanding of both technology and business dynamics.

Job Duties:

• Lead and manage a team of website engineers, including front-end and back-end developers, SDETs, and DevOps engineers.
• Define the technical vision and roadmap for the Websites platform, aligning it with the company's overall business goals.
• Set technical priorities, manage resources, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality projects within budget.
• Identify and implement new technologies and solutions to improve website performance, security, and user experience.
• Maintain a high level of quality control and implement best practices for code development, testing, and deployment.
• Partner with product managers, sales, and marketing teams to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and advancements in web development and automotive technology.
• Advocate for continuous improvement and foster a culture of innovation within the engineering team.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in Software Development and Engineering Leadership roles.
• Proven track record of leading and motivating high-performing engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and various web frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud technologies is a plus.
• Experience in optimizing operational impact of a SaaS platform at scale.
• Skilled at capacity planning across both Cap/Op work.
• Knowledge of the automotive industry and dealership websites is a strong asset.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills - customer-focused attitude and leadership style.
• Ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position which is not inclusive of bonuses, benefits or other forms of compensation that the position may be eligible for.
