The Role:

We’re looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer to design, build, and own our internal data infrastructure. This role spans backend engineering, cloud systems, and data orchestration—powering workflows across R&D, product, and operations. You’ll take the lead on how data moves through our systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and transparency across teams

What You'll Accomplish:

• Design and own the foundation of our internal data platform—from cloud infrastructure to orchestration and system architecture
• Build and scale data pipelines that connect science, product, and ops with the data they need to move faster and make better decisions
• Shape the future of our tooling by integrating internal systems and APIs, and helping define how data flows across the company
• Stand up and maintain CI/CD workflows to keep deployments clean, stable, and reproducible
• Operate in GCP, managing everything from ingestion to transformation to storage (BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Composer, and more)
• Define and enforce data contracts that bring consistency and clarity to how teams access and use shared data
• Partner across teams to turn business needs into clear technical plans—then execute and ship

What You Bring (Required):

• 4–6+ years in backend or infrastructure engineering roles
• Strong Python experience; hands-on with scalable APIs (FastAPI or Flask)
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred: BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Composer)
• Comfortable managing CI/CD, monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code
• Strong SQL and experience with ETL/ELT orchestration (Airflow, dbt, or similar)
• Understanding of data warehouse design and cross-system data flows
• Proven ability to document, maintain, and extend technical systems
• Experience working cross-functionally across technical and non-technical teams

Nice to Have:

• Experience with dashboarding tools or light frontend visualizations
• Familiarity with GovCloud, security-first environments, or compliance workflows
• Experience working with internal tools (e.g., Greenhouse, admin APIs)
• Comfort integrating third-party APIs or vendor systems
