The account manager's objective is to act as the primary point of contact for clients, representing the company in interactions. You will be responsible for maintaining assigned client accounts, including maintaining favorable business relationships, networking, negotiating contracts for new and ongoing contracts, business development (farming), and monitoring quality with clients. Internally, you will be responsible to coordinate with key stakeholders to obtain necessary performance metrics, respond to customer inquiries and development commercial and technical offers.

Client Account Management

  • Ensure the health of client accounts, including strategic relationships, ongoing work, and visibility of the future pipeline at all times
  • Identify business opportunities to increase account profitability
  • Identify client changes that may impact our commercial agreements (IT, processes, PLM, etc.)
  • Understand the AS 9100 standards requirements related to the responsibilities of this position
  • Adhere to the company's QMS procedures and apply tools when performing tasks
  • Any other related tasks

Tender Management

  • Analyze tenders and transform them into technical requirements
  • Produce and manage the project plan for the proposal, ensuring that all necessary activities (milestones) are completed on time
  • Identify required stakeholders to execute the proposal and organize progress tracking
  • Act as the responsible party for timely delivery of technical and commercial proposals

Coordinate the Development of Technical and Commercial Proposals

  • Participate in designing an effective strategy to win a bid
  • Ensure the validity of technical estimates by requisitioning identified time to complete work packages
  • Determine the pricing structure of submissions to ensure profitability is within targeted benefits
  • Protect the company against technical and commercial risks by ensuring the presence and robustness of assumptions in proposals
  • Ensure the implementation of robust tendering processes
  • Draft tender proposals according to established standards or establish standards when required
  • Define requests outside the scope of previously negotiated terms
  • Participate in decision-making processes regarding proposal intentions following received tenders
  • Update and manage Salesforce CRM for all customer activities
  • Provide visibility of proposal progress to management

Negotiations

  • Support the presentation of proposals to different clients
  • Participate in and document negotiations, as needed
  • Ensure approval of pricing agreements with management

Operationalization

  • Ensure smooth transition from a potential project to operational teams
  • Set up and lead project kickoff meetings with operational teams
  • Ensure compliance with conditions set during the tender process

Qualifications

  • 8 to 10 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in a similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or related field
  • In-depth knowledge of the aerospace industry
  • Good understanding of a company's financial environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Bilingualism; French and English, written and spoken
