Description

  • Responsible for welcoming and routing patients and visitors in person and by telephone in a busy behavioral health agency.
  • Demonstrate professional work demeanor, excellent customer service, and outstanding communication skills.
  • Respectfully relate to individuals regardless of age, level of functioning or presentation.
  • Respond quickly in a changing, multi-task environment with accuracy in documentation information, collecting fees for services rendered, scheduling appointments, answer phones, and coordinating with agency staff.
  • Respond to voice mails and fax requests.
  • Perform intakes for new or returning patients.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of clerical experience preferred.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to pass a level II Background clearance and drug test.
  • Must maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct, while adhering to agency policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of office equipment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, in collaboration with other community partners.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations and display appropriate work demeanor and boundaries.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
