DALLAS FAMILY SEEKS FULL-TIME NANNY/EDUCATOR FOR INFANT
The Nanny LeagueAbout the role
Overview
PLANO, TX (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY)- Fabulous entrepreneurial parents just outside of Dallas seek a FULL-TIME NANNY for their happy and easygoing 8-month-old baby boy from 8:15am-5:30pm plus flexibility for occasional late nights and overnights. These overnight stays typically occur 2-3 times per year for 3-5 days at a time, while the parents travel for work.
The family owns a business near their home in Plano, where the nanny's work will primarily take place. They have a dedicated room for their son in their office that is perfectly set up with a crib, spacious play area, equipment, full kitchen, etc. The child naps every 2-3 hours. The nanny is welcome to have downtime during his naps and occasionally run errands, provided there are no scheduling conflicts with the parents’ work meetings.
Their little one is highly advanced and ahead of developmental milestones. He is inquisitive and thrives on opportunities to learn and explore! Thus, parents seek a nanny with a strong background in early child development/education who can nurture his curiosity and keep him ahead of developmental milestones. A candidate with professional experience working with infants and toddlers is essential, and familiarity with Montessori principles is a plus.
Responsibilities focus exclusively on childcare and include creating age-appropriate educational activities and games that encourage growth and development. The family is looking for someone who can engage their son’s mind and body by fostering his physical, social, and intellectual development. Knowledge of developmental techniques, such as baby sign language, strength-building exercises, and language development, is highly desirable.
The ideal candidate is experienced, reliable, and trustworthy, with a professional approach to caregiving. The family values a nanny who is comfortable working alongside parents while respecting boundaries and supporting their role as the ultimate decision-makers.
The parents have planned upcoming travel from January 15-17, January 27-31, and February 4-7, during which they will require the nanny to provide 24/7 care for their son. They are open to considering a temporary nanny for these specific dates if needed.
The family has two dogs, so candidates must not have pet allergies. However, the role will primarily take place in the family’s office.
Compensation ranges from $25–$35+/hour, paid via payroll. The family offers a competitive benefits package, including paid sick days, vacation, holidays, and health insurance. The position is available for an ASAP start date.
