We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Senior Software Engineer to create innovative embedded software solutions through all phases of application development for our Sleep & Respiratory Care products.
Your role:
Develop and review high-quality embedded software while adhering to applicable quality standards. Provide feedback into design, coding practices, and testing throughout the application lifecycle.
Lead or report to a scaled agile team, supporting feature scope and defect resolution during all product lifecycle phases. Support team member development by offering effective feedback for continuous growth.
Identify opportunities for improvement by proposing solutions that enhance quality, reduce costs, and minimize complexity.
Communicate effectively in dynamic environments, utilizing various formats including virtual communication. Stay current with technology advancements in the relevant domain.
Manage multiple projects concurrently, offering guidance and oversight to engineers and technicians to ensure successful software development activities.
You're the right fit if:
You’ve acquired 10+ years of professional experience in developing embedded software; have knowledge and experience developing software and leading teams in an Agile environment; have an understanding of embedded architecture and system design including core concepts for Real-time Operating Systems, interrupt service routines, and device drivers.
Your skills include proven knowledge of current software engineering principles and design patterns; can demonstrate understanding of structured and object-oriented design methods; knowledge of software development methodologies including incremental, iterative, and agile techniques; and have knowledge and experience in component specification, design, and unit/integration test.
You are also proficient in C, C++, and C# and good understanding of software development tools – IDE’s, source control, compilers, linkers, etc.
You are flexible and creative with the ability to come up to speed quickly on new software and hardware platforms.
You have demonstrated ability to apply engineering and scientific principles to solve problems and debug existing source code.
You have a B.S. in Electrical Engineer, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent.
You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
You have strong oral and written communication skills and are a team player with the ability to collaborate with multiple functional groups including electrical, marketing, and industrial design.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
