General Notes
This is a grant funded position with an end date of 05/31/25, renewable based upon availability of funding, work performance, and progress toward research goals.
Purpose
This position will support the research program of Dr. Josh Cisler. Dr. Cisler conducts behavioral, neuroimaging, and clinical trial research with traumatized adolescent and adult samples. This individual will assist with implementation of research studies and clinical trials, including recruitment, consenting, administration of assessments, budgeting, behavioral and neuroimaging tasks implementation, and data analysis and quality control.
Responsibilities
Study Coordination:
Identify, recruit, and consent research subjects.
Administer assessments, call subjects for follow-up as outlined within research protocols.
Protocols Management:
Maintain regulatory compliance with IRB and federal guidelines.
Assist Principle Investigators with research-related tasks such as preparation of manuscripts, progress reports, and grant submissions.
Lab Management:
Manage research administrative tasks such as maintaining supply inventories, ordering and maintaining equipment, and preparing subject payments.
Assist in the supervision, coordination, and management of graduate and undergraduate research assistants (student hourly position holders) hired to assist with research projects.
Manage Database:
Maintain project databases and records, including data entry.
Other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and some research experience in psychiatry, psychology, neuroscience, or related discipline. Professional demeanor with tact and respect at all times. Ability to address individuals and information with a high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality in various delicate, formal or urgent situations. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Outstanding organizational and time-management skills. Demonstrated critical thinking skills and excellent attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to work well with a broad group of faculty, staff, and students, including the willingness and ability to train and oversee undergraduate and graduate students. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in psychology / neuroscience with experience working on research projects with clinical populations.
Salary Range
$40,000 + depending on qualifications
Working Conditions
May work around standard office conditions.
Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
Use of manual dexterity.
Occasional weekend, overtime and evening work to meet deadlines.
Field work as necessary.
