Summary
Work requires application of in-depth knowledge of storage and server products to resolve field issues. May lead a multi-functional work group or project team consisting of one or more support staff and/or tech/professional staff, or may provide advice and guidance in area of specialty. Assist in pre-sales activities which include (but not limited to) assist Celestica’s Sales Engineers and Business Development teams, participate in Trade Shows and assist with responding to RFPs.
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
- Acts as the primary technical contact with the customer or partner.
- Draws on thorough knowledge of systems architecture and hardware and software knowledge to identify root cause and proposes solutions.
- Coordinates with the design team to create the solution and ensures the solution resolves customer reported issues.
- May also work on solutions individually.
- Manages the relationship with the customers and partners.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
- Hands on hardware or software development experience is mandatory
- Good understanding of hardware architecture and concepts related to Storage products such as JBOD/JBOF/EBOF and Server products is mandatory
- Good knowledge of BIOS, BMC, SES, Linux Kernel is highly desirable
- Working knowledge of programming languages – C, Python is highly desirable
- Ability to evaluate, diagnose and troubleshoot complex field issues
- Ability to simultaneously manage several projects and coordinate multiple, changing deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent project management, presentation skills
- Experience in directly interfacing with customers is mandatory
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Must have required authorization to live and work in United States

Physical Demands
- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Typical Experience
- Ten plus years' of relevant industry experience
Typical Education
- Undergraduate degree in EE or Computer Science is required. Graduate degree is desirable.
