Position Overview

The Desktop Support Analyst's role is to support and maintain the credit union’s computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. That includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all organizational hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via work order) in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end-user assistance where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Job shadow Desktop Support Analyst II to help provide responsive support for end users with deskside & walk-up support issues for PCs, network printers, video conference equipment, & other local IT hardware & software packages.

  • Prepare and configure client systems for install and delivery.

  • Use remote management tools to assist end users who are working offsite.

  • Organize and clean Desktop Operations stock rooms.

  • Perform weekly inventory control for respective stock rooms.

  • Assist senior technicians with various duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field or additional 2 years of relevant experience can be considered in lieu of degree

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems

  • Basic knowledge of applications such as Microsoft Office & Teams

  • Valid Driver's Licence - Travel between multiple sites around the Raleigh area required and peridolically to other branches across the state

Desired Experience, Knowledge, Abilities, Skills

  • Hands on hardware troubleshooting experience, including desktop & laptop PCs, printer, and AV systems

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems

  • Basic knowledge of applications such as Microsoft Office & Teams

  • Travel between multiple sites around the Raleigh area required and periodically to other branches across the state
