The Operations Business Analyst PositionSunnova Energy is currently looking for an Operations Business Analyst who will provide substantial analytical support for Sunnova’s Service and Maintenance departments that will be utilized to inform critical business decisions. The Operations Business Analyst will work closely with a team of driven professionals to provide analysis, assist in performance tracking and reporting on service-related activity

Operations Business Analyst Responsibilities

• Prepares analysis and reporting for key activities and projects by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information; reviews reporting packages and documents detailed explanations for variances
• Performs a variety of calculations, analyzes and audits financial and operational results
• Compiles weekly executive summary and key performance indicator reports
• Uses independent judgment to analyze data and make recommendations for changes to support significant business initiatives and to drive critical business decisions
• Identifies areas for process improvement through data analysis and strategic thinking
• Documents current and future-state processes to create support for changes through flowcharts, business requirements documents, data definitions, etc.
• Supports the development, documentation, and implementation of new procedures
• Produces custom reports and analysis

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or another related field required
• 2+ years’ experience with data analytics tools and/or process automation
• Experience with reporting/data analytics tools through design and creation of reports, dashboards, and queries
• Experience in process mapping and business requirements documentation
• Proven track record of timely analyzing and summarizing extremely large quantities of data
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude applying advanced knowledge of business protocols & metrics; a high degree of accuracy is required
• Proficient in Microsoft office, specifically Excel analytical capability and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Tableau
• Work experience as a business analyst in an operations or reporting environment highly desired
